The YOUTH FOR EQUITY, EMPOWERMENT & SOLIDARITY (HAL Yes!) program is an opportunity for students in grade 9 to 11 in Halton schools to get involved and make a difference in their community. The aim of the program is to enhance youth participants’ confidence and foster critical self-reflection on all aspects of their unique identity while building their leadership skills to create a climate of inclusion and respect for all members of their student community and beyond.

We are looking for volunteer facilitators with a deep understanding of equity and anti-racism, and who have a keen interest in working with youth. Volunteers will be responsible for implementing and co-facilitating a 14-week program alongside Indus staff. A comprehensive training on equity and facilitation skills will be provided. The program will take place in Halton schools during school hours (between 10:30 am – 1:30 pm), and group sessions will run for two hours a week for 14 weeks from February-May 2018.
